The round kicks of with Munster travelling to the Dragons on Friday evening, knowing a maximum point win would leave them only a point behind the leaders. The Dragons have not lost at home since before Christmas but will be wary of a Munster side who have beaten them three time this season – twice in the Heineken Cup pool stages and once in the League.
Fourth placed Edinburgh Gunners will also be looking to close in on the leaders and reverse their recent stuttering form when they meet fifth placed Blues at Murrayfield – although the Welsh side have won their last two league games, and with a game in hand over most of the leading sides will still fancy mounting a late title challenge themselves.
Friday’s final game sees Leinster, fresh from their heroics in Toulouse, travel to Border Reivers for a 9pm kick off. Reivers know that a win will move them even closer to a Heineken Cup place next season but for Leinster the focus will be on top spot, with a win moving them into to the pinnacle of the league at the end of a round for the first time in their history.
The round’s final game is on Saturday with the Ospreys looking to further build their impressive home record with what would be a fourth consecutive home win. However the Glasgow Warriors know that they need to take the points if they are to keep the pressure on Border Reivers for the second Scottish place in next season’s Heineken Cup.
