In the other game of the night, the Scarlets U20 travel to Abertillery to take on the Dragons with the home Region seeking only their second win of the season. The Scarlets will make sure of their place in the final if they win a contest which has been rescheduled due to the recent inclement weather and move them 15 points clear of the black and ambers with one game remaining.

Both sides will be severely hampered in terms of strength due to the U19 World Championship in Dubai where both sides are well represented.

The Scarets are missing the likes of Martin Thomas, Lou Reed and Ken Owens whilst Rob and James Lewis and Ashley Smith are amongst the Dragons out in the desert.

Mostyn Richards, High Performance Manager for the WRU said: “We are getting to that stage of the season. We have already had one thrilling final – at U18 – and by what I have seen to date, I think the finals at U16 and U20 level could be pretty good too.”

It has been confirmed that the WRU Reebok Regional U20 final will be played as a curtain raiser to the Llanelli v Llandovery Principality Premiership game at Stradey Park on April 29 (KO12pm) while the U16 final will be played at Rodney Parade on Sunday April 30 (KO 2pm).
