“Leinster’s performance against Toulouse in the Heineken Cup quarter finals was without doubt a classic performance and arguably one of the bigger occasions of the tournament,” said Jenkins.
“They are a side firing on all cylinders and we are aware that a win for them on Friday night would keep their winning momentum in check ahead of their semi final.
“However, that winning momentum is just as vital for us if we are to remain in contention for league honours, especially with three games in such a short space of time.
“The challenge of three games in the space of eight days will without doubt be a full squad effort. It’s a big demand on the group and we will be selecting to incorporate a balance of energy, recovery and quality throughout the team.
“With Leinster, Ospreys and the Dragons all to be played before the end of next weekend, that balance will be vital if we are to gather the winning momentum in our chase for Celtic League honours.”
Dafydd James who has taken over the captaincy on Friday evening in the absence of Skipper Simon Easterby added: “There’s no denying that we’re completely frustrated by last weekend’s defeat as we know that we didn’t capitalist on our chances.
“However, there’s a lot of rugby to be played between now and the end of our season. The boys are up-beat and there’s no point feeling sorry for ourselves especially with a Celtic League title still in contention.”
With a number of players rested ahead of Tuesday’s clash with the Ospreys, Lee Byrne takes over at full back with Barry Davies on the bench. Scarlets Academy outside half Ceiron Thomas gets his first start of the season at 10, while prop Phil John gives way to scrummaging partner Iestyn Thomas at 1 with Craig Dunlea returning from a back injury at 3.
Elsewhere, Vernon Cooper and Chris Wyatt return as a second row partnership with Inoke and Adam Jones receiving a well deserved rest this weekend.
