Abercynon remain in third place thanks to a four-try 29-12 victory over fifth placed Pill Harriers. Hooker Kevin Cadogan, centre Gareth Davies, prop Ian Iles and number eight Geraint Turner each crossed for tries. Outside half Matthew Turner completed the scoring with three conversions and a penalty. Elsewhere Brynithel moved a step closer to safety with a 20-25 win at Llantrisant.
In League Three East Abergavenny remain on course for the title thanks to a 38-5 hammering of visiting Rhymney. Flanker James Williams grabbed a brace in a six-try display and there was also a rare conversion for second rower Olly Fields. Pontypool look set to take Abergavenny right to the wire after they beat Cwmbran 3-18 to stay within touching distance of the league leaders. Winger Dan Robinson and flanker Rob Nash provided the tries with fly-half Richard Jenkins on kicking duty to add two penalties and a conversion.
A man-of-the-match performance from flanker Richie Walters helped third-placed Llanishen to a 14th win of the season over struggling Old Illtydians. Scrum half Andy Howard crossed for Llanishen who were also awarded a penalty try and full back Owen Jenkins added a conversion and penalty.
St Peters stole top spot in division four east with a 35-15 defeat over Garndiffaith who began the day in pole position. Centre pairing Ben Davies and Steve Ireland both crossed for St Peters, as did scrum half James Churches and number eight Matthew Murphy. Outside half Neil Parsons notched 15 points with three conversions, two penalties and a drop goal. St Peters are now level on points with the Garn and hold a game in hand as the season enters its final weeks.
Elsewhere Nantyglo beat Chepstow 20-15 and Monmouth won away at Trinant 12-36.
In League Five East, Machen displayed their title-winning credentials with an 80-29 mauling of whipping boys RTB Ebbw Vale. The run-away leaders ran-in a staggering 12 tries to open up a nine point lead at the top of the table. Centre Alun Bunny cashed-in with a four-try haul and winger Lloyd Williams bagged an impressive hat-trick and ten conversions.
Elsewhere Abertillery BG beat Ynysddu 15-22 and Gwernyfed hammered St Josephs 56-10.
