“Tomorrow night’s fixture brings us back to our domestic challenge and more importantly our challenge for qualification into Europe next season” said Jenkins. “There was a great atmosphere at Stradey when we played them here a fortnight ago and I have no doubt that that atmosphere will be just as passionate at the new Liberty Stadium tomorrow evening.
“There is however a little more at stake in this round of games with the possibility of creating a bit more mileage between us in our current Celtic League standings.
“Although we came out on top last time around, it could be argued that home advantage paved the way for our victory here at Stradey Park – the same could be said ahead of tomorrow night’s game – but this is very much a victory that we need and I’m sure that the added passion that the local derby atmosphere brings with it will stand us in good preparation to come away with that all important ‘W’ tomorrow night.”
