Speaking after the meeting, WRU chairman David Pickering said: “The democratic process has been played out and the outcome is a good one for Welsh rugby. People realise that we are doing a good job and we now need to draw a line under this and move on.
“It’s a shame that we were called to account over financial matters that we have now fully justified. The Board’s actions have been totally vindicated, but this sort of action has been expensive and extremely disruptive to business.
“The wound has now been healed, but this has not done the WRU’s image any good. Our pride has taken a bit of a dent.”
Union President Keith Rowlands, who chaired the meeting, added: “The Board and the Union officials have been supported by a very, very large majority vote and that should bring matters to an end.”
