Injured Osbourne forced to return

Osbourne will undergo further medical examination upon his touchdown, and will be seen be specialists in order to determine the extent of the damage. Meanwhile Wales U21 Coach Chris Davey says there is everything to play for as Wales play their final Pool game against Argentina at Riom on Saturday (kick off 3pm BST).

“The standings are wide open and while we will also be depending on other results, there is everything to play for in our match against Argentina,” said Davey. “Usually you need eleven points to get into the top four, but on Saturday, the top four teams are playing each other – France are playing South Africa while New Zealand are playing Australia – so it looks as if some teams will get into the last four with ten points.

“We have five points so far so if we win on Saturday with a bonus point, theoretically, we could get into the last four, however, if we get nothing from the game, we could also end up playing for 9th to 12th placings in the tournament.

“Argentina are a good side but they are beatable if we are a bit more game bright and put our game plan into place.”
