The post has been advertised from 1pm today (Wednesday) on the WRU website (www.wru.co.uk) and from 3pm on www.odgers.com, the site of the leading headhunting company appointed last week to select candidates for the position.

David Pickering, WRU chairman said, “Odgers, our appointed headhunting company have already received several applications from top level individuals from the world of business. We are delighted with the response so far and we are confident that business people and executives of the highest calibre will be attracted to what we believe is one of the most exciting and challenging jobs in world sport.”
Tim Burton, Head of Group Services for the Welsh Rugby Union who is responsible for the appointment process within the WRU Group said, “Over the coming week, the position will also be advertised in newspapers in the UK and throughout the world while Odgers will be conducting a world wide headhunting search.
“It is our aim to appoint some time in September with the successful candidate in place as soon as is possible after that.”
