All Change for the Blue & Blacks

All Change for the Blue & Blacks

Despite regaining the lead three times in last Saturday’s opening Principality Premiership fixture against Swansea, the disappointment in the eventual narrow defeat is reflected in a new starting line-up that shows a major reshuffle in all areas of the team.

A couple of positional changes behind the scrum sees Elgan Jones revert from full-back to his more familiar role on the wing, allowing Thomas James, scoring of a thrilling try against the Whites, to move in to centre.

Richard Davies, recovered from an ankle injury, plays at full-back, and other new faces in the backs are Daniel Gravell and Darren Allinson.

The front five of the pack is completely changed from last week and Chris Jones starts at No 8.

Cardiff: Richard Davies; Elgan Jones, Thomas James, Richard Jones, Daniel Gravell; Craig Evans, Darren Allinson; Geraint Morris, Ross Johnston, Darren Fenton, Chris Stamatakis, James Down, Gavin Lucas, Chris Jones, Gareth Gravell (captain)
Replacements: Michael Leaman, Gareth Gunter, Luke Hunter, Matthew Amos, Tom Games, Owen Ruttley, Shaun James
