Welsh regions enjoy European success
The first occasion came in Round 3 of the 2000/01 Heineken Cup.

The Blues’ win in Bourgoin made them only the second Welsh side to win on French soil.
The Scarlets were the first to win in France when they beat Bourgoin in 1999/2000 (30-36) with new ERC Elite Award winner Dafydd James scoring two if his tournament record 25 tries.
The following season they defeated Colomiers 6-19
The Blues’ record in France now reads: P12, W1, D1, L10.
