Hook dedicates win to skipper
Hook was handed the No.10 jersey against England after Jones was ruled out with a broken wrist and responded with a stunning twenty-two point haul. Yet the rising 21-year-old star was first to thank his team mates, and the absent skipper, for the performance.
Hook said: “It was a wonderful game and I was happy with my display but it was all thanks to the forwards who set a great platform with a huge effort. That makes life very easy for an outside half.
“It was great to get that win for the fans but all the team want to dedicate that performance to Stephen Jones. I was only selected at No.10 because he was injured but he is still a great player and a great leader.”
