U19 invitational squad to face Canada

Eleni Smith replaces the injured Issy Jones in the front row while Amy Thompson and Carys John switch sides in the back row. Heledd Stephens has a chance to show her talents at scrum half following the suspension of Laura Marsh, pending a disciplinary hearing.

Birchgrove’s Samantha Hill steps up from the bench to start on the wing. Natalie Lineham and Hannah Lerwill get their first call-ups to the squad and are named on the bench.

Coach Liza Burgess commented, “The Canadian team will be tough opposition to crack and it is likely to be a very physical encounter. The Welsh youngsters are ready for the challenge though, and are looking forward to another opportunity to show their skills.”
