Colin Charvis is one of six Dragons injuries, Michael Owen is on Barbarians duty while James Harris and Gareth Chapman are on Wales Sevens duty. As a result, they will play no part in Friday evening’s dead rubber at Rodney Parade.

Gloucester’s Australian hooker Jeremy Paul returns from a hamstring strain. Props Jack Forster and Alasdair Dickinson, centre Ali James, stand-off Willie Walker and wingers James Bailey and Mark Foster make rare appearances.

This will be the first time that the two sides have met in a competitive match, with the Dragons looking to end a five-game losing run and extend their undefeated home record in the competition.
