The Steelmen will be looking to avenge their 26-25 loss to the All Whites on the opening day of the season and in doing so maintain their advantage over nearest rivals Neath, who trail the Gwent club by two points, albeit with a game in hand.
Neath themselves go to the Brewery Field to face a Bridgend side that has endured a miserable first half of the season and currently sits one from bottom in the table. They did record a respectful 27-27 draw with Bedwas in their last outing, but the Welsh All Blacks will arrive with confidence after thumping the Ravens 42-6 in their first meeting of the season.
Third placed Glamorgan Wanderers have been something of a surprise package so far in this campaign and they will be keen to replicate the bonus point victory they secured against Maesteg in September, when they travel to Llynfi Road for the return fixture. James Loxton retains the full-back berth for the Cardiff club, after a try-scoring debut against Ebbw Vale, while Nick Kelly returns in the second-row.
Cardiff will hope to continue their good form of late when Cross Keys come to the Arms Park. The Blue and Blacks followed up victory at the Gnoll two games ago with a convincing triumph over Maesteg last weekend and will be keen for another home win to keep their title ambitions on track. Keys also salvaged a win in the mud last weekend as they beat Swansea 18-7.
Newport will be looking to banish the memory of their dismal 6-3 loss to Llandovery on the opening day when they travel west to face the Drovers. Both teams have struggled for any kind of consistency since that day, but the Black and Ambers did come away with a notable bonus-point win over Llanelli last time out and will be looking for a similar outcome from Saturday’s game.
Pontypridd welcome back centre Adam Thomas for their home tie with Bedwas while Llanelli and Aberavon complete the weekend’s fixtures when they meet at Stradey Park. The Scarlets beat the visitors 26-13 in the side’s first game of the season at the Talbot Athletic Ground.
