Wales and Scarlets fly half Jones missed last weekend’s defeat at Stradey Park due to a neck injury but is fit to line up in Ireland on Sunday. Phil Davies’s hopes of qualification are slim and Jones is one of six changes with two in the pack and four in the forwards.
Jonathan Davies comes in to replace Gavin Evans at inside centre whilst prop Ben Broster gets his first start in the Heineken Cup for Deacon Manu. Vernon Cooper replaces Scott MacLeod and James Bater and Alix Popham take over for Gavin Thomas and Dafydd Jones in the back row.
Davies wants his side to give it one final effort at Thomond Park: “We are still in the competition but we’re not going to lie down and make it easy for anyone. It’s a great challenge to play back-to-back games against such a great team as Munster. Hopefully we can get a performance.”
