The Scarlets lost 22-13 in Munster which ended their slim hopes of qualifying for the quarter-finals.
But fly-half Jones has demanded a big effort from his teammates as they entertain the defending Magners League champions at Stradey Park next Thursday.
Jones said: “We can take positives from it, we’ll stay honest to ourselves and work hard to raise standards. We’ve got a big local derby against the Ospreys so we need to work on our weaknesses.”
The Scarlets lie in fourth place in the Magners League, just four points behind leaders Leinster. And that has increased the importance of the Welsh double header against Lyn Jones’s men and the Dragons over the festive period.
