Prop Claire Horgan moves up from the bench to start at tight head which means Wales will now boast twin sisters at prop as the number one berth stays with her sister, Louise.

Natalie Bowen takes her place on the bench to complete the 22 for the vital Six Nations encounter with Les Bleus.

Jason Lewis said: “After three wins on the trot we are starting this game with enormous confidence and the motivation to achieve second spot in the championship. Our team is never short of heart but we are now building a more intelligent and controlled game.

“In recent games we have been getting the ball through several phases and when we do that we know we can pose a threat with our talent out wide.

“Now we are certainly playing with confidence and we are starting to be far more clinical in our approach.”

He believes the three wins against Scotland, Italy and Ireland have showed that Wales can now play fluid rugby which is attractive to watch.

“Against Ireland we fell victim to two rolling maul tries but we knew we would beat them if we stuck to our game plan. I believe we played better against France last year than the final result showed so we can approach this match with confidence.”
