It will be the first opportunity for the region’s supporters to honour the 14 Ospreys who tasted Six Nations success with Wales, and it has been confirmed that the returning stars will be bringing the Six Nations trophy to the match with them. The silverware will be displayed to the Liberty Stadium crowd ahead of the game, the first stop on a tour of the four regions between now and the end of the season.

The Wales stars returned to Ospreys duty last weekend when they secured a second consecutive EDF Energy Cup Final berth thanks to a resounding victory over Saracens at the Millennium Stadium but Friday night will be the first time that supporters have had the opportunity to honour the players at the Liberty Stadium.

Ospreys Managing Director Roger Blyth said: “To record a Grand Slam is quite an achievement and everybody at the Ospreys is proud of the considerable part that our players had in Wales’s success in this season’s RBS Six Nations. Friday night’s game is our first home fixture following the tournament so I’m sure our fans will want to say a big well done the players, not just for what they have done with Wales, but for continuing their success last weekend with the Ospreys in the EDF Energy Cup.

“The Six Nations Trophy will be present at the stadium on the night, and I’m sure that the presence of the silverware will prove an inspiration to both the squad and the crowd before we take on Ulster in an important Magners League match.”
