In their first match at this age level, Wales Women U20 suffered a loss to their English counterparts but this afternoon’s match gives the side, coached by former international Kylie Wilson, a chance to redress the balance.
Speaking after her side’s first match Wilson said, “We knew England would be very strong, as they are at all age groups. However, we achieved some performance targets which was pleasing, we performed well in the set-piece and some of our youngsters really shone through.”
Wilson has named a balanced squad of both experienced and inexperienced players, and the side will be captained once again by the impressive Mared Evans, who has previously been capped at senior international level.
