Prop Thomas is the only Dragons player in Warren Gatland’s international set-up, and Turner believes 21-year-old full-back Thomas, currently sidelined with a shoulder injury, has the ability to the step up to Test level.
Turner said: “Martyn has got a big chance coming his way and I see him as a future international if he can string some games together.
“That must be his major goal as he is the type of player who can play for his country.”
Former Wales under-20s star Thomas joined the Dragons from Llanelli Scarlets in February 2007.
Turner says his fullback is international class
