Paul Turner said: “It’s a measure of how far we have come that we were disappointed with not coming away with more points and wins from the Christmas fixtures. However, there were many positives and the boys can travel to Glasgow knowing the performances during the intense Christmas period have been strong. We have a good record in Glasgow and we will be looking once again to come away from Fir Hill with a win.

We have studied the Glasgow performance against Edinburgh and they performed well in their home victory last weekend. They have a strong squad who perform well in front of their home crowd. Dragons vs Glasgow matches always seem tight with a maximum of 6 points separating us in the last three games between the two teams.”

In what will be first time to Scotland this season for the Dragons, Tom Willis is looking forward to the trip and said;

“The team put in some strong performances over the last few matches but we now have to take these continued improvements and turn them into wins. As a team we feel we are improving but are no longer happy with just picking up losing bonus points. We are in a results business and the team will be looking to return from Glasgow with a win.”

Scottish International and former Glasgow player Andrew Hall is also included in the Squad and looking forward to the match commenting.

“It’s always a great opportunity to return to former teams to play and I am looking forward to the match. There have been some nice plaudits said of us in recent weeks but the team is all too aware that we need results and hopefully we can get one on Friday. We know it won’t be easy as Glasgow have strong and talented squad themselves and will be looking to continue their improvement after a strong start to the season in the Magners league”

James Arlidge returns after the missing the Scarlets match due to the birth of his first child. While Martyn Thomas is included having recovered from a shoulder injury sustained at the beginning of the season.

Dragons Squad:- Jason Tovey, Martyn Thomas, Gareth Wyatt, Rory Sidey, Gareth Maule, Ashley Smith, Rhodri Gomer-Davies, Richard Fussell, Shaun Connor, James Arlidge, Wayne Evans, Tom Isaacs, Adam Black, Nigel Hall, Tom Willis, Steve Jones, Rhys Thomas, Andrew Hall, Adam Jones, Luke Charteris, Hoani MacDonald, Jamie Ringer, Dan Lydiate, Colin Charvis, Lewis Evans.
