Loxton set for Blues bow

Young Glamorgan Wanderers and Blues Academy member James Loxton will make his debut for the region at full back when the Cardiff Blues tackle Ulster Rugby at Ravenhill tomorrow (KO 7.30pm)

Loxton, having played in the Blues and Wales Under 20’s team this season, has also been selected for the Wales Under 20’s squad that travel to Japan for the Junior World Cup this June.

Scott Andrews who will captain Wales in the Junior World Cup, is also selected on the bench as are James Down and Ryan Howells after impressing playing for Cardiff RFC this season.

The Blues have 10 international in the starting XV and the game is the final chance for players to put their hands up for selection ahead of next weekend’s Heineken Cup semi final against Leicester.
