“After our poor performance last week we’ll be looking for a huge improvement against a side as good and as well coached as Newport,” commented coach Chris Ower.
“We’ve asked the boys to put Pontypool behind us, take the positives forward and put in a performance,” added manager Darren Joy.
For the challenge of Newport the Wanderers welcome back experience and talent. Wales Under 20’s captain Josh Navidi and full back Dan Fish are released to start for the first time this season.
They are joined by experienced second row Alex Luff who has recovered from a pre-season injury. Matt Bolton also gives a start to Mike Hurley and Elliot Jones in the backs whilst Darragh Cantillon replaces Mark O’Leary in the front row.
