The Pitmen were ahead at the break following tries from Karl Hoskin and Ospreys fly-half Dai Flanagan but Ponty, led by the outstanding Simon Humberstone, edged out a victory.

Humberstone scored a try and landed seven successful kicks for a total of 23 points.

Ponty also scored tries by flanker Wayne O’Connor, second row and captain Chris Dicomidis and hooker Huw Dowden as they sealed a bonus-point victory.
Swansea extended their unbeaten run to seven games with a 48-21 victory over mid-table Bedwas.

All Whites fly-half Matthew Morgan had a stunning game, scoring 33 points, including four tries, five conversions and a penalty.

Eli Walker sped over the line from the wing, followed by second row Conor McInerney and flanker Morgan Allen. Stewart Thomas had a good game at full back, scoring a try, a conversion and three penalties, but it was not enough to save Bedwas from rampaging Swansea.

Neath recorded their fifth win of the season over a powerless Cardiff side with a 44-10 victory.

Tries from flankers Nathan Bonner-Evans and Adam Whitney, full back Gareth King, scrum half Tom James, and No8 Adam Powell secured a convincing win for the Welsh All Blacks.

Full back Tom William got one back for the Blues and Blacks but it was too little too late for Cardiff.
There was another bonus-point win for Aberavon as they beat Llandovery 34-16 at the Church Bank.

Scrum-half David Pritchard, wing Richard Carter and full-back Ricky Thomas all raced across the line for the Welsh Wizards, and prop Neil White steamrolled over to give them the bonus-point. Matthew Jarvis had a good game at fly-half, converting all four tries and kicking two penalties.

Bottom-of-the-table Glamorgan Wanderers continued their poor form with an eighth consecutive loss at home to Llanelli.

Hooker Craig Hawkins touched down twice for the West-Walians, joined by second row Adam Powell. Glamorgan wing Elliot Jones tried to rescue some points with a try but it wasn’t enough to spoil Llanelli’s fifth win of the term.
Cross Keys added to Camarthen’s problems this season as they triumphed 25-16 at Camarthen Park.

The Keys scored tries through centre Nathan Williams, scrum-half Ryan James and flanker Rob Nash.

Full-back Gareth Morgan put the Quins ahead at half time, but they couldn’t stay the distance to secure a second win of the season.
Newport hosted the weekend’s late kick-off against Pontypool and sealed a 20-8 win.

Wings Owen Broad and Matthew Pewtner scored the tries for the Black and Ambers, with fly-half Lewis Robling kicking two penalties and converting both tries to seal the victory for the home side. Pooler winger Mike Burke scored the only try for the visitors.
