The Swansea No10 watched the first half proceedings from the bench but made an immediate impact from the re-start.

West Wales trailed 7-5 – centre Owen Williams scoring for Joseff Griffin to convert for East Wales in answer to Kirby Myhill’s effort for the West.

Morgan, standing at just 5ft 5in and tipping the scales at 8st 11lb, figured prominently in the next try of the match when he dispossessed a rampaging forward, before speeding through a gap and off loading to winger Nathan Brooks who scored. Morgan of course landed the conversion.

Substitute hooker Sam Parry increased the West Wales lead when he ran powerfully for their third try, Morgan again converting.

East Wales hit back through Tom Williams with Lewis Williams converting. Morgan then had the final say with a solo try which he instigated from just outside his 22.

East Wales U20: Tries – O Williams, T Williams, Regan; cons – Griffin, L Williams
West Wales U20: Tries – Myhill, Brooks, Parry (2), M Morgan; cons – M Morgan (4)
