Warren Gatland will name his team to contest the 2011 RBS 6 Nations Championship tomorrow and fans should also be considering their options for the first-ever Friday night fixture to kick off the campaign at the home of Welsh sport.

Mr Toms is thrilled that the capacity crowd expected at the iconic rugby venue will have the full option of rail and road links into the city-centre, after Arriva Trains Wales confirmed that they will provide a comprehensive timetable of services on matchday.

He said: “With 74, 500 fans heading to Cardiff for the first RBS 6 Nations clash of 2011 at the Millennium Stadium, I would urge all fans to make use of the additional train, bus and park and ride services announced.”

“Arriva Trains Wales have boosted their timetables and the capacity of trains to get rugby fans to the match on the evening of Friday 4 February and will implement a queuing system at Cardiff Central station after the game to get fans home safely.”

“On the roads, park and ride facilities can be accessed easily from the M4 from 12noon until 11pm while fans travelling by coach should take advantage of the facilities at Sophia Close.”

Travel details for specific events can be found on the Millennium Stadium websites and full train times and fares information can be obtained by visiting www.arrivatrainswales.co.uk or by calling National Rail Enquiries on 08457 48 49 50. www.nationalrail.co.uk

Arriva Trains Wales are advising customers to make their way directly to the station after the match ends and wrap up warm while they wait for their train home. They are also advising travellers who are not going to the match to make alternative arrangements
