A try count of 5–2 provided RGC1404 with an outstanding result against formidable opposition.

Canadian international Sean White, playing at full back, opened the scoring for RGC1404 in the fifth minute. Aberavon winger Chris Lewis equalled the scores and converted his own try, to give Aberavon the early lead of the game 7-5.

The first half ended in favour of RGC1404 with an excellent try from Dylan Owen on the left wing, which was converted by Connor Braid, closing half time in favour of the North Wales side 7-12.

The second half opened well for RGC1404 with a great catch and drive from a line out 23 metres from the Aberavon try line, which was scored by Jebb Sinclair, converted again by Braid.

The North Wales side added tries from wing Ben Stelmaszek and Tom Hughes with the conversions from Braid and Rhodri Carlton Jones. Aberavon’s Chris Lewis scored his second try of the game, with a conversation to match but it was too little too late.

Premiership side Tonmawr head north next Saturday to face RGC1404 at Parc Eirias, (KO 2.30pm).
