Wales U16 fall to England

The Welsh Schools Under 16 side had the first and last word in a game of seven tries against their English counterparts in Fylde, but still fell to a 31-10 defeat.

It was the second international outing of the season for Jack Dixon’s team, following their victory over Italy Under 17, and they got off to a flying start when Monmouth School full back Hallam Amos crossed for a try.

But after that bright start the powerful English outfit ran in 31 unanswered points as they punished their visitors for making too many errors and turning over too much ball. Wing Colin Dickson and centre Spencer Tohms both crossed twice and flanker Cameron Nierd got the other home try.

Wales started as they finished when Newbridge Comprehensive centre Dixon ran in Wales’ second score.
