Edwards took temporary charge of the Welsh region following Paul Turner’s departure in February and last month was appointed to the position on a permanent basis.
Victories over promotion chasing Welsh rivals the Blue and Ospreys in recent weeks brought the season to a close on a high and Edwards is hoping to build upon this looking forward to next season.
“It’s important that we look to the future at the Dragons,” he said.
“For too long in the past the focus has always been on reflecting on what we could have or should have done.
“The Dragons is a great place to work and you feel happy coming into work because everyone is working hard to pull the club in the right direction.
“On the field we are trying to entertain the fans and we have been brae in the way we have played our brand of rugby.
“Off the field the board here have been brave in a taking a big step to try and ignite the region and it is exciting times.
“We need to build on this campaign. Its going to be a transitional year and we want to make sure we get the best out of the players we have.”
