Rhydyfelin ran in eleven tries in total in what was a comprehensive win. Despite their victory, Rhydyfelin were unable to topple Ystrad Rhonda from the top as they too registered a comfortable win.
Fleur de Lies RFC failed to cope with the power and pace of the league leaders as they were easily seen off 46-10.
Elsewhere, Bedlinog edged out Heol y Cyw by three tries to two in a thrilling encounter. The see-saw game eventually saw Bedlinog triumph 25-24.
Ynysybwl and Penalta fought out another close game as both sides looked to get closer to the top two. Although failing to score a try, Ynysybwl came away from their trip with a victory, eventually triumphing 11-12.
Llantrisant beat Rhymney 14-6 in a match which saw three players sin binned. Josh Perry and Chris Thew scored a penalty a piece for Rhymney but scrum-half Owen Baker’s try was the difference as Llantrisant closed out the game. Jonathan Williams kicked the rest of the away side’s points.
In Division Three East, second-placed Senghenydd romped to an emphatic 89-0 win away at Caerphilly. The home side remained bottom after the visitors ran in a total of 13 tries. League leaders Pill Harriers were equally as impressive in their 38-0 win over Abertillery at Belvue Terrace.
Garndiffaith complete the top three as their seven converted tries away at lowly Tredegar Ironsides saw them easily triumph 49-0.
Meanwhile Penarth stay rooted to the bottom of Division Three South-East after a 34-17 defeat to Rhiwbina at Athletic Field. The away side ran in five tries leading to what was a fairly comfortable victory.
While Ireland’s Sean O’Brien suffered heartbreak in New Zealand his Rocks namesake scored a brace of tries in St. Peter’s 35-18 win at home to Tonyrefail. His side ran in two more scores to win by 17 points.
Mid-table Aberdare beat Fairwater 38-17 with flanker Dan Lewis running in a hat-trick. Dylan Sullivan was also on the score sheet and although Fairwater managed three tries in response it was not enough to prevent defeat. Tom and Michael Foley and Richie Hare crossed the line for Fairwater
