The WRU, organisers of the biggest ever live screening of a Welsh rugby international, have joined forces with the IRB to bring the official Rugby World Cup semi-final match programme to retail, exclusively for fans at the at the home of Welsh sport.
A deal was struck with APC Media, the official printers behind the RWC match programmes, late last night for the one and only version of the programme to be available in Cardiff and WRU Head of Sales and Marketing Craig Maxwell is thrilled to announce what is a massive coup for “Wake Up for Wales” ticketholders.
“Following the overwhelming levels of support from the Welsh public this week, I’m thrilled that the WRU has been able to strike a deal with the IRB and APC Media to bring the official match programme to the fans at the home of Welsh rugby this weekend.
“We wanted to make the day as authentic as possible for fans, a lot of people couldn’t get down to New Zealand so we have decided to bring a key part of the match day experience to the Millennium Stadium for the day.
“Staff at the Millennium Stadium are working tirelessly to ensure that Wake Up for Wales is an extra special event and the opportunity to purchase the Official Programme adds extra memories for fans of the great occasion.
“The official programme is of course bespoke to Wales’ semi-final event in New Zealand and promises to be packed with exclusive columns and interviews from the biggest and best in World rugby, as well as being a fantastic must-have commemorative item for Wales’ biggest fans.”
The programme will retail at £7, rather than , and will be available to purchase throughout the event in the Millennium Stadium on Saturday.
