Pontypridd came out on top against Neath 18 v 13 as the two sides met at the Gnoll this afternoon. Fly-half Dean Dunter kicked all of the visitors points whilst for Neath Gareth Gravell’s try wasn’t enough to stop them slipping to defeat in their second consecutive game.
Aberavon took full advantage of their opportunity to move to top of the table beating Tonmawr 24-10. At half time it looked like a shock may have been on the cards, with the Wizards losing 10-3, but a try from winger Richard Thomas and a penalty try secured the win for Aberavon.
Llandovery kept the pressure on those above them with a bonus point victory over Newport. Tries from centre Mathew Jacobs, hooker Emyr Phillips, second-row Phil Day and Ruki Tipuna helped Llandovery on their way to the 30-20 victory.
A close encounter between two of the league’s struggling sides saw Pontypool run out 11-9 victors over Carmarthen. In a game which could have gone either way, it was a try from winger Ryan Owen which proved to be the decisive score.

Richard Powell held his nerve to secure victory for Bedwas with the last kick of the game, in their match against Swansea. The Bedwas fly-half’s superb form from the boot was the difference between two closely matched sides.
Bridgend climbed to 7th in the table with a comprehensive victory over a disappointing Cross Keys side. A brace from replacement hooker Arthur Elis and a try from winger Kristian Phillips ensured that the result went in Bridgend’s favor.
