The Welsh All Blacks will be looking to build upon a highly effective, bonus point-clinching, performance at Tonmawr and make four changes.

Behind the scrum, winger Jamie Davies returns to face his former club while the dangerous attacking scrum-half Chris Morgan comes back after ‘flu forced him to miss the Tonmawr game. Up front, the experienced Nicky Downs and Andy Littlehales are restored to the front row.

Neath coach Patrick Horgan said, “We were very encouraged by the display at Tonmawr where conditions dictated the game. All told, we adapted very well and, by policing the tackle-area and off-side lines, a new referee (Simon Rees of Ebbw Vale) saw there was enough quick ball to make for a good game.

“To score six tries in thick mud at a difficult venue was a real feather in our cap. The boys worked hard for each other and reaped the reward.

“Carmarthen Quins is an equally as challenging place to go, they beat us down there last year and, with a couple of our players returning with points to prove, we are looking forward to the battle on what will be another heavy pitch.”
