This weekend’s Principality Premiership saw Neath brush aside Llandovery in a top of the table clash. Tries from wing Alec Jenkins and back row Gareth Gravell, as well as some superb kicking from David Langdon, helped Neath close the gap at the top with a 28-15 win.

Number 8 Dan Baker and Winger Eli Walker both got over for tries as Swansea caused the shock of the weekend beating fourth placed Aberavon 15-6. This win moved Swansea to 11th in the table.

A late penalty from Dai Flanagan secured a 16-15 win for Bridgend against Pontypridd. Winger Kristian Phillips got over for the Raven’s only try of the game while wingers Mathew Nuttall and Chris Clayton got Ponty’s tries.

Aled Thomas winning penalty was the last kick of the game as Carmarthen defeated Cross Keys 23-22 in a mid table clash. Thomas was the name of the day as winger Rhys Thomas and number 8 Andrew Thomas got Quin’s tries.

Wingers Ross Wardle and Kristian Owen both got over for tries as Bedwas defeated Cardiff 27-23 at Arms Park. Back row Sam Feehan completed the scoring for the men in black and white. Centre Shaun Powell and number 8 Reuben Tucker scored Cardiff’s tries.

Tonmawr’s winless season continues after they lost 20-13 to Newport in the division’s basement battle. Tries from winger Mathew Pewtner and flanker Daren Waters helped the Black and Ambers gain the win.

Pontypool’s game against Llanelli was postponed as the pitch was deemed unplayable due to frozen ground.
