The opposition on Saturday 4th February will be Carmarthen Quins, in a game at Sardis Road which kicks off at 2:30pm.

The Quins are the current dark horses of the premier division, a recent fine run of results including wins over form teams Neath and Cross Keys having hoisted them dramatically to third place in the league table.

Pontypridd now lie one position and three points behind their opponents but with a vital four games in hand. Needless to say there is much to play for as the two teams go head to head on Saturday.

Currently out injured for Pontypridd are centre Adam Thomas (shoulder), scrum halves Rhys Downes (ankle) and Garyn Lucas (knee) and prop Stuart Williams (calf). Prop Ken Knaggs is serving the final days of a suspension whilst scrum half Lewis Jones, prop Ryan Harford and lock Cory Hill are involved with the Blues senior squad.

Former Ponty stalwart Andrew Jenkins has been drafted in on permit to take the scrum half berth, with young Josh Hughes from Gilfach Goch continuing to cover the same position from the bench.

Craig Locke makes a first start in the second row following a long term back injury, with promising youngsters Harley Thomson and Darran Harris given another opportunity to impress at full back and hooker respectively.
