Neath face Gwent hurdle

Despite their 20-23 defeat at Newport last Sunday, Neath remain top of the Principality Premiership but they face an equally as difficult Gwent hurdle at Pontypool this evening (KO 7.15pm).

The Welsh All Blacks field much the same back division that finished at Newport but make a few positional changes and bring in prop James Reeves, Whitland lock Rhys Jones and flanker Lee Evans.

Coach Patrick Horgan said, “We know we missed a golden opportunity to extend our lead at Rodney Parade and we will need to perform better at Pontypool if we are to achieve our goals.

“We have great respect for Pontypool who had a very good win over Cardiff last week. They have a similar approach and attitude to ourselves and we know we will be in for a battle before we return to The Gnoll for two games next week against Seven Sisters on Monday and Cross Keys on Friday.”
