British and Irish Lion Gethin Jenkins, who captained the Wales team against Italy last weekend, former captain and fellow Lion Matthew Rees and young flanker Dan Lydiate joined forces with dynamic car maker SEAT – the WRU’s official car supplier – to launch the competition at Cardiff dealer White Dove in Hadfield Road.
Designed to celebrate Wales’ incredible season and the imminent launch of the stunning SEAT Leon FR+ Supercopa, the competition gives fans the chance to scoop three sets of four tickets for the Wales v Barbarians match at the Millennium Stadium in June and three Webb Ellis rugby balls signed by members of Wales’ 2012 Triple Crown-winning team.
Best of all, the competition is completely free to enter. Fans simply have to visit the stunning SEAT Leon FR+ Supercopa – which has been inspired by SEAT’s hugely successful Supercopa racing car and features striking styling enhancements worth hundreds of pounds – by Gate 3 of the Millennium Stadium before the France game on Saturday 17 March.
Peter Brooking, of SEAT UK, said: ‘SEAT has been proud to be the official car supplier of the WRU for a number of years now and we’ve cheered the team on as they’ve gone on to such great success recently.
‘This competition is our way of celebrating that success with the fans and, hopefully, lots of them will take the time to enter in the build-up to the France game as the prizes on offer would be the envy of any rugby fan.’
Craig Maxwell, Head of Sales and Marketing at the WRU, added: ‘SEAT has been the official car supplier of the WRU for a number of years now and really is one of the driving forces behind Welsh rugby, providing support for our coaches and staff.’
White Dove SEAT Sales Manager, Colin Snook, said: ‘We were absolutely delighted that the WRU and SEAT chose our showroom as the venue to launch this exciting competition.
‘Everyone at the dealership was thrilled to get the chance to see the Triple Crown up close and to meet the players who were all absolutely fantastic and took the time to chat. And I know from talking to them that the players were impressed with the Leon FR+ Supercopa.
‘Now we’ll all have even more reason to cheer the team on as they look to continue their success in this seasons RBS 6 Nations competition.’
