Next up for Ponty is an away match against traditional rivals Cardiff, the Arms Park clash tomorrow afternoon (KO 2:30pm.)

Following an emphatic bonus point home victory over Swansea midweek, Ponty will be going all out for a win on the road to close the nine point gap on league leaders Neath.

It was on Boxing Day 2011 that Pontypridd recorded a home league win over Cardiff in a hard fought encounter, as reflected in the final score-line of 18pts to 13. Another tough assignment against the Blue and Blacks is due come Saturday afternoon.

In an attempt to keep players fresh during a demanding run of fixtures, it is a case of mix and match in the selection policy for the Cardiff game.

Coming into the starting line up are wing Matthew Nuthall, scrum half Lewis Jones, prop Stuart Williams, hooker Huw Dowden, lock Cory Hill and flankers Jake Thomas and Wayne O’Connor.
