Pocock faces race against time

Australia captain David Pocock faces a race against time to make his country’s end of season tour of the northern hemisphere.

The Wallabies have been rocked with the world class flanker being ruled out for up to three months after undergoing knee surgery in Sydney.

Pocock damaged the articular cartilage of his right knee during last Saturday’s Bledisloe Cup defeat against New Zealand in Sydney.

He will now miss the rest of the Rugby Championship and his position on November’s Spring Tour is also in doubt. Half-back Will Genia will take over as skipper.

Wales take on Australia at the Millennium Stadium on December 1 where the James Bevan Trophy will be at stake once again.
