Both sides were desperate to bounce back following opening day defeats but it was the hosts that dominated affairs.
David Pritchard sniped over within minutes of kick-off to hand the Wizards an early lead but the All Whites quickly hit-back. Davies, the son of former Wales centre and current Gloucester director of rugby Nigel, got the scoreboard ticking with a try inside the opening quarter, which he then converted.
Man-of-the-match Steffan Jones grabbed Swansea’s second try to secure a 15-8 half-time lead, with Davies and namesake Jamie Davies exchanging shots at goal.
The Swansea fly-half continued to stretch the hosts’ lead with a drop-goal but Aberavon hit back with a Steff Andrews try to set up a tense finale.
But the All Whites put the result beyond doubt, and secured the bonus-point, with touchdowns from Dan Baker and Jamie Thomas.
Elsewhere Bridgend crashed to a 35-15 defeat to Cross Keys at the Brewery Field. All the Ravens could manage was five penalties from Ross Jones while Keys ran in four tries.
Back-row duo Rob Nash and Jamie Sollis crashed over in the first-half before Luke Ford and former Bridgend man Nathan Trowbridge completed the job.
Carmarthen Park played host to a try-fest as Cardiff RFC fell to a second defeat on the bounce.
Richard Wilks, Carwyn James, Jamie Davies and Rheon James scored the all-important tries for the Quins while James Dixon added 12-points with the boot.

Meanwhile former Ospreys Kristian Phillips inspired Llanelli to a five-try 46-6 romp against Newport at Rodney Parade.
Phillips raced clear for two tries and was joined on the score sheet by Craig Price, Justin James and Nick Reynolds. All Newport could manage was two kicks from Tom Hancock.
Finally at Sardis Road, reigning champions Pontypridd celebrated captain Chris Dicomidis 200th appearance with thrilling 55-27 win over Bedwas.
Ponty ran in eight tries in total with Lewis Williams pouncing for a brace while Scott Roberts, Geraint Walsh, Jake Thomas, Carl Thomas, Owen Williams and Pat Palmer all crossed the whitewash.
Bedwas also played their part and left with a try-scoring bonus-point thanks to touchdowns from Rory Budina, Sam Feehan and Rory Wood.
