The All Whites have had a mixed start to the season losing two and winning one of their three games so far. Their sole victory was an impressive one over Aberavon at St Helens. Swansea gained victory by 32-13, this however was sandwiched by defeats to local rivals Neath on the opening day by 23-9 at the Gnoll and then last Saturday at The Bridge Field, Bedwas ran out convincing 34-17 winners.

At Bedwas, Whites’ prop Roy Jones and second row Rhodri Hughes scored tries whilst outside half Sam Davies, son of Gloucester Director of Rugby Nigel added two conversions and a penalty but these scores were in vein as Bedwas proved too strong as centre Ross Wardle and former Cardiff wing Matthew John scored two tries apiece whilst impressive outside Richard Powell added 14 points with the boot for the hosts.

Swansea are coached by ex-Wales hooker Mefin Davies. He is assisted by 26-year-old Ben Lewis, the former Ospreys flanker, who was sadly forced to retire from the game last year after a neck injury and the backs coach is Kevin Hopkins the former Wales centre.

The Keys injury situation is not really improving although this will no doubt get better as the weeks go on. Keys will be looking for a third successive victory on Wednesday although they know it is not an easy place to go.
