Waunarlwydd battled hard but their three tries were not enough against a strong Tondu side which collected their fourth bonus point in as many games.

Llangennech lost their 100 percent record as they succumbed to a 24-19 home defeat to Cwmllynfell.

Wing John Jones scored two tries for Cwmllynfell which ensured his side would finish the weekend second.

In the other half of the table, a try from flanker Adam Dawe could not prevent Aberavon Quins losing their fourth match of the season against Kidwelly.

Meanwhile, Camarthen Athletic won their first game of the season with a 24-12 victory over Ammanford. Chris Francis and Viv Jenkins grabbed the crucial tries.

In Division Two, fly falf Laurence Howley scored two tries which significantly contributed towards Maesteg’s impressive 44-22 win over Haverfordwest.

Maesteg’s win means they have surpassed their neighbours Maesteg Quins and Seven Sisters to the top of the league – Quins lost 24-19 to Felinfoel, and Seven Sisters 20-5 to Dunvant.

In other results, Taibach collected their first point of the season but still haven’t recorded a win as they were edged out at 7-6 by Builth Wells. A single try from Luke Murray for away side Builth was enough for them to win the nail-biting encounter.

Amman United won the top-of-the-table clash in Division Three scoring six tries against Newcastle Emlyn to claim a 39-20 win.
Gorseinon also maintained their 100 percent record with a bonus point 36-13 win against a Cardigan side that have lost three on the bounce.

Tycroes are at the top of Division Four after not conceding a try in their travels against Neyland in a 38-12 victory.
