Blues South sit four points behind the Scarlets in second place but have a game in hand over their rivals who they take on tomorrow in the Welsh capital.

Matt Silva’s side have lost just the one game so far this season, against the Ospreys and will go into the game knowing a home win will them the edge as the season moves on.

Both Blues regions have enjoyed positive campaigns though they have been usurped recently by the Scarlets who have been on a good recent run of form.

The west Wales region ended the good recent run of Blues North in their last game, running out narrow 11-3 winners at Parc y Scarlets. And they will be hoping for another similar success, this time on their travels.

Blues South will be anything but a push over though and will be looking to their home advantage to secure the win that could send them top of the table.

In the other U16 game taking place tomorrow, Blues North will be looking for a response from that defeat to the Scarlets as they travel to the Dragons.

The North’s good run ended with defeat to the Scarlets and, following what was a surprising loss, they will be looking to bounce back following their slip down to fourth place. Although they are 10 points clear of tomorrow’s rivals, they sit just one place above the Dragons and know a win is vital if they have are to have any hopes of being crowned U16 regional champions.
