Utility back Owen and Scarlets skipper Rob McCusker were both sent off for foul play during the dying minutes of the 32-3 Christmas defeat suffered against neighbours Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium.
They appeared in front of league disciplinary chiefs at a hearing in Dublin earlier today with back-row forward McCusker escaping a ban after being dismissed for stamping on an opponent. A panel decided the sending off was adequate punishment.
Owen was dismissed for taking out Morgan Allen in the air. He received a three-week suspension, which will expire on January 16
