The bonus-point victory means the north Wales side leapfrog Ystrad Rhondda into pole position having played a game more than their south Wales rivals. Two red cards for the visitors did not overshadow what was a comprehensive win with a late try from Rhodri Evans securing the bonus points for the northerners.
In the only other game in the division to have survived the weather, Gilfach Goch humiliated Tredegar in a 52-0 romp to keep the winless visitors at the bottom of the table.
Elsewhere, in Division Two, Garndiffaith heaped more misery on lowly Tylorstown after claiming a 24-14 bonus-point victory.
Remarkably, all fixtures in Division Three, Four, Five and Six were postponed due to the severe weather conditions.
In Division One North, Pwllheli narrowly defeated Bethesda 9-6 in an all-kicking encounter while Menai Bridge’s 38-18 mauling of Bangor was the only other game to survive the conditions in the north.
But the snow and rain were not to blame for all postponements as the game between Porthmadog and Harlech in Division Three had to be cancelled after high winds had blown over Harlech’s goalposts overnight.
