An abrasive back rower, Crocker was nominated Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year for Beddau last season, producing a string of consistent performances for the club in its Championship campaign and in winning the Mid District Cup at Sardis Road.
Cardiff born and a product of the Canton club, Crocker is aged just 23 and stands at 6ft 2in. Having gained experience in playing across the back row, Crocker comes to Pontypridd as a recognised blind side flanker.
In announcing the new signing, Pontypridd team manager Richard Langmead commented: “Luke is a big, aggressive back row player who has made his mark in the Championship and has the potential to make the step up to Premiership level.
“We are delighted to have him on board and look forward to see him develop that potential to the full with Pontypridd.”
Crocker’s signining is the second announced by Pontypridd in a short space of time after scrum half Lloyd Williams joined the club permanently after a spell on permit from Treorchy.
