Speaking on his appointment, Jones said: “I am pleased to be part of the team here at the Dragons and assisting Lyn Jones with the coaching.

“I want to help to develop the youngsters in the team to and push the Dragons up the table.

“It’s an exciting challenge for me to be able to coach in Wales and I am looking forward to taking it on.”

Director of Rugby, Lyn Jones said: “I thoroughly enjoyed working alongside Kingsley last season at London Welsh, he delivered what was asked and more, becoming very popular with the squad.

“Kingsley will assist with all skill and technique development with the squad, then specialise on forward play, as we build a happy and positive environment where players learn, improve and enjoy each other on and off the field.”

Team Manager Robert Beale said: “We are very grateful to the Russian Union for allowing Kingsley to assist with the coaching at Newport Gwent Dragons.”
