The 12 week league started on May 2 with a variety of ages and experiences amongst those taking part.
“It’s great we’ve got five teams playing regularly at Pencoed,” said Mike Williams, WRU Participation Officer for the Ospreys region.
“Next year I hope at least eight teams will take part as we look to expand the league.”
“Away from its traditional heartland, Touch is developing steadily in the Swansea area,” added Matthew Enoch, Development Director for the Wales Touch Association.
“The new league in Bridgend this year is exciting with massive potential for growth. The venue and available player pool makes this league a contender to challenge some of the other leagues as the largest in Wales in future years.
“Leagues in the Swansea area provide access to a large pool of players from the city and surrounding valleys. It is a particularly exciting time for Touch in the area with the 2014 European Touch Championships being held at the magnificent facilities at the University.”
Ex Scarlets flanker James Bater is just one of many who have taken part in Touch in the Ospreys region.
