Jones, who helped lead Wales to the RBS 6 Nations title back in March, is still focused on his playing career but is putting the foundations in place for his long-term future.
In partnership with Athlete Career Transition (ACT), Jones will utilise his downtime from the game to develop his skills as part of Hugh James’ business development team.
ACT, founded by former Wales rugby internationals Steve and Andy Moore, have created a pathway that has been designed to assist athletes in their transition from top level sport into the business environment.
“Whilst I am fully focused on my rugby and still have a great deal that I want to achieve in the game, it is always important to plan for the future,” said Jones.
“The prospect of forging a new career after a life wholly dedicated to sport is daunting for any athlete.
“The ACT Pathway offers a real opportunity for sportsmen to develop and adapt the skills they have acquired in sport and to use them to best advantage in business.
“Having met the Hugh James team and discussed the placement with Andy and Steve, I am convinced that they are a really good fit for me at this stage and that working with them will help me lay a foundation for building a successful career after rugby.”
