The Canadians and the Irish will be the first teams to compete at the Millennium Stadium, which has secured eight games in the 2015 tournament.
Canada put themselves firmly in the driving seat after the first leg by recording a 27-9 victory in South Carolina, and after Saturday evening’s 13-11 victory in front of a packed home crowd in Alberta, they sealed their place at RWC 2015, winning 40-20 on aggregate.
After the weekend’s results, the non-European side will be looking for their first ever victory over Ireland, the only Pool D side they have never beaten.
Canada’s confirmed pool-phase match schedule will take them to four different cities across England and Wales. The tourists will be kicking off with a cracker at Millennium Stadium, looking to emulate their previous success in Cardiff, one of Canadian rugby’s most iconic moments, when the North American visitors stunned Wales at Cardiff Arms Park in 1993 with a 26-24 victory.
As the tournament schedule continues to take shape, fans can also look forward to Wales’ two pool matches at the stadium in Cardiff during the tournament. The fixtures give Welsh rugby fans even more to celebrate after a series of massive rugby achievements in recent months.
The Millennium Stadium is the only venue outside England scheduled to host the Rugby World Cup 2015 tournament. The complete schedule for the Millennium Stadium is:
